1147 Second Lieutenant Samuel Meekosha VC served with the West Yorkshire Regiment during the First World War and is remembered in The Imperial War Museum's Lives of the First World War collection. This was an innovative commemoration project that ran between 2014 and 2019 and very much followed in the footsteps of the museum's original 1917 Bond of Sacrifice appeal.
